Team Fortress 2 To Get “Very Different” Game Mode, says Developer

The Valve related news just keeps rolling in.  Joystiq has reported a rumor on a new gameplay type for one of their Orange Box hits, Team Fortress 2.  After scouring a recent piece by The Escapist Magazine, they also found rumor about the talk of a tenth class.  Head past the break for more in-depth news.

Rumor Mill: Assassin’s Creed 2 before April 2010?


A recent report at MTV Multiplayer has spread the rumor that Assassin’s Creed 2 could be released before the fiscal year of 2010.  For those of you who don’t know when the fiscal year is, it begins on April 1st and finishes its cycle on March 31st of the following year (can you say taxes?).

Rumor Mill: Black Sequel In Production

This rumor is a long shot, but it would be awesome.  Do you remember Black?  It was that game for PS2 and Xbox that had destructible environments, which at the time was quite innovative.  It got decent scores across the board, but ultimately sank into the average range due to a lack of multiplayer.

Snake Stowsaway in Box on the Rumor Train Heading to Xbox

An update to Konami’s website has gotten Metal Gear Solid fanboy’s panties up in a bunch. The picture (seen after the break)shows the now iconic exclamation point from the Metal Gear Solid series added to an upside down one. What does the equation come out to? It equals what looks like the Xbox 360 Power Ring –and the international on symbol– with one notable exception: there’s an exclamation point in it. And obviously, jokes have already been made about it. Just remember that this is only a rumor –some even think it’s a stretch–, and not to get your hopes up. If more information comes to light, it will be posted here as soon as it is known.

Update: It’s actually being teased by Kojima Productions. This means that Kojima, the genius behind the series seems to be spearheading this new production.

Monster Games finishing secret project, waiting on a thunderstorm and Igor

According to recent headlines, Monster Games, the developer that brought you Excite Truck for Wii, has been hard at work for the past two years on a super secret video game. So secret one could say they’re keeping it under lock-and-key. The twenty developers who’ve been hard at work on this game are required to turn their monitors off or darken them when the bottled-water delivery man enters the office. They swallowed both the lock and the key, apparently.
