Killzone 2 Release Date Set for Feb. 27

Come February 27, your PS3 are belong to Killzone 2. According to G4’s Xplay, the title will be released on that day with a similar time frame for PAL regions of the world. Don’t worry Europe, Sony hasn’t forgot you! In the videos which you can find here and here, you’ll witness two new weapons, the Bolt Gun and the Flamethrower. What game now-a-days isn’t complete with one? Kyle Shubel also gives Adam Sessler a confirmation of the release date. The second video showcases the new Warzone gameplay (explained after the break).

Warzone gameplay is all the game modes at once. Imagine joining a team death match game, and your team wins the round. The game will then seamlessly, without a lobby, change to a different game-type such as search and destroy. At the end of that round, they might change to capture the flag or king of the hill. It all is seamlessly wound together to create a deeper experience. Also, my example isn’t the only way the rounds will cycle, as it is actually a random cycle determined by the game and the parameters you use for your server.
